Here are a few tips to help advance your search:
- Be patient, but have a written plan with daily, weekly and monthly goals.
- Commit to accomplishing certain RESULTS each day.
- Identify what makes you unique and develop your personal brand.
- Get out of your house and away from your computer.
- Take advantage of every job fair, networking events or social gathering where you could network.
- Do daily tasks when working people do those tasks. EXAMPLES: Get your mail and grocery stop after 5:00 PM.
- Be persistent and when you follow up, offer to share additional information, don’t just call to obtain an update.
- Identify hidden job opportunities by marketing yourself directly into companies.
